Word for 2017

- Pastor Corey Erman

1) Change in 2017

   a) We change to a new calendar year that’s all:

      i) The real change has to be in your spirit and your mouth:

ii) Your heart has to change for real change to take place

   b) Your decisions and words are what change the course of your life

      i) Your tongue is the rudder that steers your life – YOUR WORDS

ii) The turning of the calendar page is an opportunity for a point of contact to release our faith

iii) The Anointing: Power of God is released by faith and your words of faith

2) Vision for 2017

   a) Word for the Church

Hold on! Don’t give up! Don’t be moved by what you see or hear! Don’t be moved by circumstances! Don’t be shaken!

Hold on! Hold on! Hold on!

Hold on to the Word of God!

Hold on to what you believe!

Hold on to God’s promises!

Hold on to the confession of your faith!

      i) Hold on to the Word of God! (Php. 2:14-16 – NKJV)

14 Do all things without complaining and disputing, 15 that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, 16 holding fast (firmly) the word of life...

ii) Hold on to what you believe! (Heb. 4:14 – NLT)

14 So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe.

iii) Hold on to God’s promises! (Heb. 10:23 – KJV)

iv) Hold on to the confession of your faith! (Heb. 10: 23 – KJV)

23 Let us hold fast (firmly) the profession of our faith (hope) without wavering; (for heis faithful that promised;)

   b) Word for you personally

      i) Fast and pray

ii) Seek the Lord especially this week

iii) Set aside some time in the beginning of this year to get vision, goals and strategies from the Holy Ghost and write them down and keep confessing them and hold on to them

   c) Word for the Year

Year of God’s Goodness

It’s going to be a year of God showing forth and manifesting His goodness in your life, especially in the midst of such wickedness and all kinds of bad stuff, you will see His Goodness.

God’s Goodness is expressed in 2 ways:

(1)Giving

(2)Forgiving

Psalm 146:8-9

8 The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, Slow to anger and great in mercy. 9 The Lord is good to all, And His tender mercies are over all His works.

Zeph. 3:17

The Lord your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.

Rom 2:4

Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?

Ps. 34:8

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!

Ps. 81:10

I am the Lord your God, Who brought you out of the land of Egypt; Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.

Ex. 33:18-19

18 And he said, “Please, show me Your glory.” 19 Then He said, “I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.”

Ps. 52:1

Why do you boast in evil, O mighty man? The goodness of God endures continually.

Jam. 1:17

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

Rom. 8:28

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Prayer and Prophetic Declaration:

2Th. 1:11-12

11 Therefore we also pray always for you that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of His goodness and the work of faith with power, 12 that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
